2011 Annual General Meeting

The Niagara Woodlot Association's Annual General Meeting will be held on Nov 16 beginning at 7:00 pm at Lawrence Overbeeke's, 1353 Balfor Road, Fenwick.

The meeting will begin with the Guest Speaker, followed by the NWA business session. Come early to get a good seat - you don't want to miss the speaker!

Our Guest Speaker will be Ken Elliott, Forester, OMNR. The OMNR have recently produced a manual "A Land Manager's Guide to Conserving Habitat for Forest Birds in Southern Ontario", which is based largely on research by Ken and Erica Knol, and explains how various forest management systems affect the forest bird populations - along with much other information on forest management.

The NWA is purchasing enough copies of the manual to provide one for each NWA member-family. This guide was also reviewed in The S&W Report, page 18, Summer/Fall issue, Vol 64.
